I would love to hear your answer to the question ... how do you define the ego?!
... but how is society defining the ego?!
Is the ego a positive or a negative side of the human being?!
I believe today that the ego defines our personality many times ... but unfortunately ... from my point of view the ego is always in an annoying fight with the soul.
It’s the fight generated by the desire of total domination ... without actually understanding that the secret of a beautiful life is keeping the right balance between those 2 entities.
But the human being is not really paying attention to the most important details ... and let the things run on automatic pilot.
Instead of trying to connect to the inner soul ... the individual allows the ego to start dominating the whole life.
The result ... is a life controlled by silly values ... where everything matters, but nothing related with the inner self.
In fact everything is just related with ... the self... the one from the outside world.
Nothing else is more important ... as the ego.
The fight is lost ... and that person becomes totally blinded.
The ego is always present on the scene of life.
So ... bottomline ... is the ego good or bad?!
Should we only focus on the soul?!
Or we should mainly meditate of how to keep the right balance between those entities?!
Well ... most probably ... life is too complicated to be understood by the simple individuals ... but letting the ego control everything ... in fact letting everything be related just with the self ... will take us to a pathless path.
Maybe the ego is the devil itself ... or an mixed entity that combines all kind of daemons ... or maybe is just too much to say that ... but all i know is that whatever dominates us ... steal our right to live in freedom.
The meaning of the ego ... becomes totally related with the illusion of life .... and meanwhile force us to stay away from the soul ... ignoring all it really matters.
